Today I learned all about racquets, strings, shoes and apparel with a woman who works for Babolat, the world's oldest company dedicated to racquet sports. There's a big meeting coming up, and I was helping her prepare a presentation in English.
And a question came up: How do you say the year 2011?
Is it: two-thousand eleven or twenty-eleven?
I told her I personally preferred two-thousand eleven, but that both are probably correct.
What do you (and friend, family and colleagues) say?
By the way, it seems that natural gut strings were never made from cute and cuddly kitty cats (that's just an old wives' tale), but from cows. Does that make you feel any better, knowing that natural gut strings are still used today?
